In the film, Zhou and the other High Five members work together to find the three keys and the Easter egg, leading an army of OASIS players against the Sixers in the final battle on Planet Doom. After Sorrento uses the Cataclyst bomb to wipe out every avatar on Planet Doom, Parzival survives using an extra life coin and wins the egg. In the aftermath, Wade decides to run the OASIS with the High Five, inviting Ogden Morrow to join them as a consultant. Note: In the film, Zhou does not participate in the escape sequence after Samantha is captured by IOI; only Aech and Daito assist Wade in that scene.

After Wade wins the Copper Key by driving backward in the first challenge, Art3mis, Aech, Daito, and Sho all win the race afterward and are collectively named the High-5 on the OASIS' scoreboard. Later, when Samantha is taken to an IOI Loyalty Center, Wade escapes with the help of the other High-5 users: Helen Harris (Aech), Toshiro (Daito), and Zhou (Sho) in Helen's truck. In the final battle, the High-5 lead an army of OASIS players against the Sixers. After Sorrento uses the Cataclyst bomb, Parzival survives and wins the egg. In the aftermath, Wade decides to run the OASIS with the High-5, inviting Morrow to join them as a consultant.
